Partner

Phillip has been a partner with Burns Sieber since 1997, after operating his own practice for 9 years. He graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting. Phillip has been a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand since 1983, is a Chartered Tax Advisor with the Tax Institute and a specialist advisor with the Self Managed Superannuation Fund Professionals’ Association of Australia.

Phillip’s expertise is in consulting to small businesses in the areas of business development, taxation, management advice and accounting services. Phillip has a special interest in strategic planning, business coaching and consulting to Self Managed Superannuation Funds.

Jeremy Nicoletto - CA

Graduating from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting Minor) degree, Jeremy became a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand during 1999. He is also a Chartered Tax Adviser with the Tax Institute and a member of the National Tax & Accountants’ Association.

Jeremy commenced partnership with Burns Sieber in July 2005 after initially commencing with the firm in 1996. With extensive experience in small to medium enterprise, providing ongoing accounting and taxation consulting across a diverse range of industries, Jeremy specialises in the areas of business services, structures, business strategy and self managed superannuation. Jeremy’s focus is on developing close relationships with his clients and assisting them to achieve their full business potential.

Jeremy contributes to the community through active service as Chairperson and Treasurer on school boards, while also serving as a member of the finance and risk committees of St Vincent de Paul Society (WA) and Trinity College.

Yvette Buonomo - CPA

Senior Accountant

Yvette achieved Certified Practising Accountant status in 2001. She completed a Bachelor of Business with Curtin University. She joined Burns Sieber Chartered Accountants in 2000 and has become an integral part of our team.

Yvette manages our small to medium business clients in relation to their accounting and taxation requirements.  In addition Yvette deals with private clients and Self Managed Superannuation Funds.

Yvette also provides accounting services and assists in taxation planning for the firm’s larger clients.

Adam Panizza - CPA

Senior Accountant

Adam joined Burns Sieber in 2008, previously working in the share industry handling corporate actions for 3 years prior to joining the firm.

Adam has a Degree in Commerce, Majoring in Accounting and achieved Certified Practising Accountant status in 2013. He is currently undertaking a Diploma of Financial Planning to adhere to the additional requirements for tax accountants around providing financial advice.

Adam works with small to medium businesses and private clients in relation to their accounting and taxation matters, tax planning and also acting as our go between with ASIC and the ATO.

Helen Lam - CPA

Helen Lam - CPA

Senior Accountant

Helen completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in accounting at Curtin University. She has been a qualified Certified Practising Accountant since 2010 with experience in areas of Financial Statement Preparation, Tax Returns and all aspects of compliance for all entities.

Helen also manages our Self Managed Superannuation Fund division and specialises in applying rules and regulation requirements for our private clients.

Sandy Suhaili - CPA

Sandy Suhaili - CPA

Senior Accountant

Sandy Suhaili joined Burns Sieber doing work experience in 2006 and is now a qualified Certified Practising Accountant. Sandy holds a Bachelor degree of Accounting and Information Systems. He works with small to medium businesses in relation to their accounting and taxation requirements.

He also has experience in Self Management Superannuation Funds and he is also fluent in Indonesian language to help Indonesian clients in Australia.

Edith Kwong - CPA

Senior Accountant

Edith joined Burns Sieber in May 2012 and has been a Certified Practising Accountant since 2002.

She has previously worked in second-tier firms as well as industry funds, bringing valuable knowledge and experience to Burns Sieber. She currently works in our Self Managed Superannuation Fund division, not only assisting clients in meeting their compliance requirements but also building relationships with clients and assisting to their enquires.

Madison Pass has been working with Burns Sieber since July 2011, undertaking clients work from a range of industries. He is currently undertaking The Chartered Accountants program with the Chartered Accountants of Australia & New Zealand. He has also completed a degree in Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University with a double major in Accounting and Financial Planning.

Darren Saldanha

Darren Saldanha

Accountant

Darren has been working as an accountant with Burns Sieber since September 2011. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting & Finance at Curtin University, and is currently undertaking the Chartered Accountants program with Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.

Darren works with a range of clients from individuals and private clients to small and medium size businesses in their accounting and taxation management. He also engages in correspondence with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission in assisting clients with the setup of new businesses and their reporting requirements.

Gina Aquino

Office Manager

Gina is responsible for organising all administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the office.

Her role includes implementing new administrative systems, maintaining client records, coordinating IT and liaising with the Australian Taxation Office and Australian Securities and Investment Commission in relation to electronic lodgement of client documents.

Gina also coordinates social events, meetings and seminars throughout the year for our clients and staff.

Christie Brown

Receptionist

Whether it be an over the phone conversation, or face-to-face contact, Christie is likely to be the first person you are greeted by throughout your dealings with Burns Sieber. Her role, in addition to being the company’s friendly front-of-office face, is to attend to our valued clients’ inquiries as well as providing essential administrative and clerical support to the Burns Sieber team.
